Terms and Conditions 2012 (for 2013 please call)

Provisional bookings will be held for a period of 14 days, but if another client offers a deposit on the same date then you will be asked to make a decision and pay a deposit within 24 hours. After 14 days if no deposit of £600.00 is paid then the provisional booking will be cancelled.

Full details will be required by the Wedding and Events Co-ordinator one month prior to the event, with final numbers and full payment made one week prior to the event. On completion of the event, any outstanding balance is to be made within 30 days. Interest will be charged on the balance outstanding at the rate of 3% above the bank base rate.

Cancellation of the event must be made in writing to the Wedding and Events Co-ordinator and will entail the following charges:
12 calendar months or longer - £600.00 deposit is refundable when the date is re-booked (less administration fee)
Between 6 - 12 calendar months – 25% of the rate or rates quoted is payable (less administration fee)
Between 2 – 6 calendar months - 50% of the rate or rates quoted is payable (less administration fee)
2 calendar months or under – 100% of the rate or rates quoted is payable (less administration fee)
The Wedding and Events Co-ordinator will endeavour to replace a cancelled function, and if successful, may waive cancellation charges. A £150 administration fee will be deducted from the deposit in all cases.

A reasonably accurate estimate of guest numbers is required at the time of contracting the booking. The marquee holds a maximum of 130 for a three-course sit down meal with venue hire charged at £675.00.

The marquee operates a minimum guest police (Friday / Saturday only) of 50 full paying adults, any children over and above the minimum of 50 will be half price for the meals. There is a charge for under 2’s of £5.00. Evening buffet menus require that a minimum of 70% of the total day and evening guests must be catered for. Corkage will be charged at £7.50 per bottle of wine/champagne (standard 75cl bottles).

Due to noise limitations imposed, the use of amplified bands is not permitted in the marquee after midnight. Music is permitted until 1.00am if using the main room. Any music entertainer must bring a copy of their own public liability insurance before they are allowed to set up equipment or play.

Fireworks are only permitted by a registered Fireworks Company with Public Liability Insurance.

All wedding couples are advised to get there own wedding insurance to cover themselves against any losses through cancellation.

Glen Lodge does not take responsibility for any items left on the premises over night after the wedding.

The customer shall be responsible for the orderly conduct of its guests and shall ensure that’s its guests have regard to any regulations imposed by any competent authority and that nothing shall be done which will constitute a breech of the law. The customer shall fully indemnify the company against any claims of loss or damage arising as a result of breech of this clause.
